Sonnet
Buffeted with winds of insanity,
I fly on the wings of an afterthought.
Timelessness stretched into infinity
As against the tides, struggling, I fought.
Waves in the ocean of humanity
Toss back and forth, surrounding me with life:
Life within, life without, cross within me
Like a riptide, schisming, causing strife.
Patience gives way to the passion of hearts
As age-old cliffs give way to shifting seas.
In the infinite play, all have their parts:
The birds and the beasts, and even the trees.
Fires within join the fires without
And unity exists, leaving no doubt.
