Free E-Mail Sites

The following are free e-mail sites. I have used all of these sites to various extents. Some I use for personal e-mail, some to keep the junk mail from overwhelming my other accounts, and others to recieve valuable newsletters I don't have the time to check every single day. Regardless, I hope you find these to be as useful as I have. Feel free to send me addresses of other sites you think are as good or better than these listed here.

eKno

A decent layout. Good for world travelers since it also recieves voice messages which can be retrieved via a phone. Kind of like an answering machine for those on the go. I am not sure at this moment if that feature is free. However, the e-mail function is free for sure.

Excite

I can't remember off hand how well the layout is on this site. However, the opening page of excite.com is rather slow to download due to all of the clutter on the page.

Farts.com

I couldn't resist putting this up on the list. While not the best of layouts, and requiring a moderate download time, this site is still fairly decent. Besides, the name makes up for any defeciencies in other areas.

Hotmail

Ahh, Hotmail, the now-Microsoft standard for free e-mail on the internet. This site was doing so well that the corporate mega-giant couldn't pass up the tasty morsel and assimilated it. Regardless, it is one of the best free e-mail sites out there. Hotmail recently added a new layout for the site, but I don't know if it is much of an improvement.

Alloymail

This is a cute little free e-mail account. I believe it still offers a small gift certificate to MusicBoulevard.com for those who sign up for an account. Like many of the other free e-mail sites, alloymail offers more services, such as POP-mail, for a small price.

Angelfire

This I get free, as well as free server space for this web site. The layout is not the greatest, but I like the server space.

Yahoo

You would not expect a site this big to go without some kind of e-mail services, would you? It has a decent layout and a decent amount of space available on it. Not the greatest, but not the worst, either.
