Instruments and Accessories

The following are all sites that sell instruments and accessories. Sometimes it is cheaper to buy through the manufacturer, and sometimes it is better to go through a middle-man. Shop around and you are sure to find what you are looking for at a decent price.

Woodwind and Brasswind: An online store that has good discounts on much of its stock. I use it to get my reeds at a good price (about half off of retail). If you are a music educator, you can call in for information on how to get additional discounts.
Mouthpiece Express: A pretty decent site. It sells both woodwind and brass mouthpieces, among other things, at a darn good discount.
Selmer/Bach: Selmer for the woodwinds, and Bach for the brass players, this site has some of the best in saxophones and brass. However, as always, test play a few different makes and models before making up your mind.
Edwards Instruments: This site centers around the brass instruments, primarily trumpet and trombone. Unless you play either one, this site holds little for you.
Getzen Company: Yet another site for brass players. Yet another site given to my by a friend who, though we cannot blame him for a choice made in his tender youth, plays the trombone.
Yamaha Corporation of America: Another instrument manufacturer's site, with instruments ranging from piano to clarinet to trumpet. Also included are the electronics.
Boosey and Hawkes: The great instrumental manufacturer and music publisher, dipping its fingers into almost every aspect of the musical industry. From here, one can quickly make one's way to the Buffet instruments, maker of the world's greatest clarinet - the Buffet R-13.
